New technologies exist which can save huge quantities of fossil fuels and natural resources without reducing our comfort and quality of life. Let’s apply them!

Symbol and technology: by seeking to get an airplane to fly day and night without fuel, the project wants to encourage us to change our behavior patterns in response to energy and environmental challenges.
Through the Solar Impulse Foundation, contributions made by Angels provide direct funding for communication systems, educational programs and the search for innovative solutions to help develop the solar airplane. Placed under the official supervision of the Swiss Confederation and recognized as serving the public interest, the Foundation is exempt from paying taxes, and confers on donors certain fiscal advantages.

This opportunity came with a private Swiss preview in a Lausanne cinema of the splendid documentary made by Henri de Gerlache. The success of the invitation sent out by Elâ to all our supporters caught us by surprise: we were completely booked out within 4 hours of posting this on our website and making some spaces available for local radio listeners! What a great moment for André and me to share with friends and to remind people that the Solar Impulse message, written in the sky thanks to solar energy, is in fact aimed at the daily lives of everyone, their choices as consumers and their political decisions! We had 500 supporters there and now an equal number of additional ambassadors for new technologies that can be used to save energy and promote renewable energies. We must do it again soon, as we all had such an enjoyable time sharing our ideal.
