After three short taxi tests on the runway André has left the ground with our solar plane for the first time. It must be an incredibly emotional moment for our CEO. After seven years of hard work he can finally navigate the Solar Impulse through the sky over Payerne. "It's even more beautiful than I imagined", André said to the ground crew just a minute before the start. "The plane feels perfect, the weather conditions couldn't be better this is a day I will remember all my life. And I will try to enjoy every minute of it."
