SOLARWORLD EINSTEIN AWARD 2011 FOR SOLAR IMPULSE

Following the Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Nobel Peace Prize, Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg recieved the 7th Edition Prize of the SolarWorld Einstein Award.

This honor has been awarded to people who have rendered their services in promoting the global use ofsolar energy in a special way to the benefit of planet Earth. The Chairman and CEO of SolarWorld AG, Dr.-Ing. E. h. Frank Asbeck, explained Monday during the award ceremony in Hamburg the choice of this year's award winner. "Solar Impulse shows that with technological innovation and the courage for new thinking we can overcome the dependence on fossil resources"
