Biomitech was created to set up a research and development center in the field of air treatment using micro-algae.
About
BiomiTech has developed several air purification solutions based on green technology, designed for urban, indoor or industrial use, with the aim of converting various polluting compounds such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen, etc. into oxygen and biomass through the process of photosynthesis.
BiomiTech selects the most CO2-hungry microalgae and cross-breeds them to produce microalgae five times more efficient than conventional microalgae.
These CO2-hungry microalgae are then placed in a column where the air is absorbed before being treated. The process helps to decarbonize ambient air, thereby combating the greenhouse effect and global warming.
Now that the concept has taken root in the urban environment, BiomiTech aims to accelerate development and deployment in industrial air treatment.
BiomiTech's aim is to accelerate the development and deployment of industrial air treatment, drawing on the wealth of its entrepreneurial, academic and industrial ecosystem in the south of France.
