About

Greendur is a deeptech startup focus on decarbonization of process heat in industry through innovative thermal energy storage technology. Industrial heat accounts for 2/3 of industrial energy demand and 70% fossil fuel, emitting 9 billion tons of CO2 annually. Our thermal battery is a highly flexible and multifunctional system, which can use electricity or heat from renewables/grid/waste energy as energy input, to deliver steam and clean heat up to 350º C. With intra-day or day-to-day charging and discharging, our system can facilitate the management of industrial process heat based on intermittently energy sources, offering substantial reduction of CO2 emissions and energy associated costs and a higher energy independency. GREENDUR´s Unique Deeptech Approach based on phase change materials, offers a competitive advantage as compared with sensible heat storage thanks to its higher energy storage capacity and its constant temperature for discharging, ideal for industrial applications.
