In 2004 geologist Dr. rer. nat. Karsten Berg founded Exploraberg EIRL in Santiago. To establish early stage professional platform to develop new concepts and practise of international interest in Climate Change. Karsten Berg supports cientific background in geodynamic research from Northern Chile. He also has been part of Codelco's Exploration Team (1991-2004), where he discovered "Gaby" Cu-deposit, actually Subdivision "Gabriela Mistral". And he also discovered "Casualidad", Codelco's first IOCG-project. K. Berg is also engaged to introduce CSP-Technology since late 80'ties, the "Solar Tower" by Schlaich, Bergermann and Partners, Stuttgart. Since 2013 he coordinates international Desertec Foundation activities in Chile. For instance, specified co-works with GIZ-Chile and Fraunhofer Solar Research Center ISE-CSET (2013-15). Actually "eDrive Chile21"-energy &mobility platform is under development for 2018-2025 period. "...make it happen.."

Chile posess best solar energy input of the world, actually 20% of Renewables installed. And Chilean Government will cover between 70-100% in 2050. - One third of worldwide copper reserves are also there, important for up-streaming Electric Mobility. Most low-cost Lithium reserves are also known, but still unexplored in several "salars" of the Atacama Desert. Presence of cobalt for batteries is historical known, but still unexplored, under sustainable conditions. Therefore, combine mining exploration with renewables and electric mobility make sense then ever before.

Description
Goal 2018 is to establish each 150 km first recharge stations for electric vehicles in total Chile, about 4000 km long.

Actually exist a handful of recharge stations in total Chile for about 100 electric cars, more or less. Mostly in the capital Santiago, Viña del Mar, Valparaiso and Concepción. Best way to introduce Electric Cars and electric mobility is to facilitate recharge stations for electric vehicles first. Each 150 km seems reasonable during 24/7 service. One of ours eDrive Chile21 goals is to develop the Campaign "CHILEe.connected", where each location with more than 10.000 inhabitants aims to establish his first electric energy supply station. Private and social institutions are wellcome to make it real together. Main objective is clean energy production, mainly fotovoltaic by solar roofs, for instance.

100-day Sion-SEV Testdrive under Atacama-Desert Conditions

Description
Two prototypes of Solar Electric Vehicle (SEV) "Sion" were tested by current customers from European capitals in 2017.

During October 2018 completely Solar-powered 2-4 seated vehicles SEV's will compete under 2500 km long distance conditions from entire world, starting from Santiago towards Arica. Each crew will need two current vehicles for security reasons with one trailor included. Therefore, 2 Sion's will be optimal for logistic support and team-transport. Afterwards, rest of projected time of 100-days in total, the two Sions will be used for specialized eco-friendly geoturism in the Atacama-Desert.
