Identification
Renewable energy sources raise new challenges for asset operators, asset managers and owners. The generation fleets are now composed of rather small, diverse and decentralized assets. The production is hard to predict because depending on random external conditions whereas the electrical grids require visibility and flexibility. Darwin is ENGIE's software for renewables that enables the transition towards a zero-carbon energy mix. Darwin collects and stores the data communicated by wind, solar, hydro or biogas plants in real-time as well as third-party data like weather forecasts. The data is hosted in the cloud, analyzed and rendered in order to help the operational teams increase their revenues and optimize their costs. Darwin also makes data easily available for teams, stakeholders and other data scientists to foster innovation.
