Based on the assessment of independent Experts, the World Alliance will select 1000 Efficient Solutions to share with decision-makers to help them achieve more ambitious environmental targets and energy policies. They will be presented at COP 24 in December 2018 and to various governments, corporations and institutions in 2019.
Our network of innovators from the World Alliance will be able to start submitting their candidate solutions for assessment in Q1 of 2018. Our independent Experts will then be able to begin identifying potential Efficient Solutions.

Today, thousands of solutions exist that can boost economic growth while preserving nature, but they are often hidden in start-ups or research labs. They remain unknown to decision makers and are not implemented at industry level. So few people realize that everyone can use them and how profitable they have become.”
What are Efficient Solutions?
For the World Alliance, Efficient Solutions are not limited to the production of renewable energy. They encompass products, services, clean technologies and processes that are profitable and sustain economic growth, while protecting the environment and optimising the use of natural resources.

HOW SOLUTIONS ARE SUBMITTED AND ASSESSED
Members provide candidate solutions via the online Solution Submission Form. Experts are then assigned to those solutions matching to their fields of expertise and unique skill set. Each solution is assessed by at least two Experts according to a structured methodology developed by the World Alliance, measuring the solution against three criteria: deployability, sustainability and viability.

We are looking for solutions that help to achieve the 5 following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), in a way that bridges the gap between ecology and economy. All candidate solutions that meet the required criteria and are selected and labelled as an Efficient Solution will be part of the Portfolio.

TO SHAPE OUR PRESENT AND OUR FUTURE
Solutions are considered eligible for assessment as soon as they have reached the simulation stage in laboratory at a 1:1 scale. This way, the Portfolio aims at covering a diverse range of projects, from prototypes to fully proven in the real world.
