Kinetic Energy Recovery for Haulage
About
Adgero's Kinetic Energy Recovery System can be fitted to most rigid lorries of 12T or greater and to semi-trailer combinations of 44T and up. The system uses ultracapacitors to capture energy during braking which is then used when the vehicle next accelerates. The system is easy to install and requires no permanent modification of the chassis, thus preserving the residual value of the vehicle, an important consideration for rental fleets. The system can be removed from a vehicle leaving the fleet and re-installed on its replacement. Responsible end of life disposal is designed in: The motor uses no permanent magnets or copper and is 100% recyclable while the ultracapacitor storage contains no heavy metals or other hazardous materials.
