Ex Creatio has developed a patented technology (France and US) based on biomimicry for a fin that changes shape to camber as a result of the aerodynamic forces to which it is subjected, known as Passive Morphing. This deformation increases the efficiency of this fin by 53% compared with a traditional fin.
This project has many potential markets: renewable energies with tidal turbines and wind turbines, the nautical sector and the aeronautical sector.
Since the technology is based on a fin, it can be adapted to wind and tidal turbine blades, increasing both performance and range of use. This technology can also be adapted to boat foils, rudders, wing masts or thruster blades. In aeronautics, it can be retrofitted to all aircraft fins.
