Photovoltaic is one of the promising renewable energies, if we can apply PVs onto 1 billion people or devices to generate 5Wh/day for self-use, the amount power will be equal to 2.5 nuclear power plants and yearly save 1,137 Tons CO2. However, the present technologies are difficult to get into our daily use because of the limits: 1. rigid and heavy; 2. dark color; 3. poor lifetime of flexible thin-films.
Flexwave uses an optical way to overcome those limitations of traditional PV modules. This innovative “Flexible Waveguide Technology” owns unique talents of easy shapeable, colorful and scattering light collection, which can help PVs to be lightly integrated into devices and create an energy-smart sustainable future.
