At MaGie Creations we want to live in a world where food waste is not seen as the end, but as a new beginning. We take our share in this change by making sustainable and healthy food products from food waste. The first food waste stream we focus on is beer grain (officialy known as Brewer’s Spent Grains, BSG).
Every year, 560kton of beer grain is produced in the Netherlands alone. The majority of these grains are currently fed to milk cattle. But… beer grain is still incredibly tasty and contains valuable nutrients, such as protein, fibre and amino acids! So why not look for a solution where we can enjoy the grains not once, but twice?
Here is where MaGie Creations comes into play: we collect beer grain from breweries and convert it into our PowerFlour; a significantly more sustainable and healthy flour compared to traditional flour. With our PowerFlour, we provide an ingredient to the food industry that is locally sourced, rescued from being wasted, significantly contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions and offers a high nutritional value. Which makes PowerFlour the perfect solution for food producers that want to create innovative food solutions that are both more sustainable and healthier.
