Identification

H-UKR cement replaces Portland cement and is well-positioned to meet the challenges of sustainable development. H-UKR cement contains 0% clinker and is made from industrial by-products and activators from the chemicals industry, using a cold process which produces low-carbon concretes. It is a technology based on alkali-activated blast furnace slag and activators and super-activators specifically formulated by the Company are added to the ground blast furnace slag. Cement using H-UKR technology is intended in particular for the precast concrete, ready-mix concrete and cement bag markets.

The environmental benefits

  • Compressive strength on mortar according to NF EN 196-1: at 2 days = 21.3 MPa and at 28 days = 52.9 MPa
  • Workability up to 120 minutes, without additives
  • Reaction to fire: classification A1
  • CO2 emissions divided by 3.5 compared to traditional cement (CO2 emitted = 252kg/T)
  • H-UKR contains 0% clinker and does not require any firing (no kiln, no chimney)
