SageGlass aims at providing an elegant and sustainable alternative to conventional buildings' facade solutions for architects and builders looking at solving solar control challenges without sacrificing aesthetics, energy-efficiency or comfort. SageGlass dynamically adapts its tint in response to the weather conditions and the building's needs, to manage the daylight and heat in a smart way. Spaces always benefit from daylight and a free access to views to outdoors, without suffering from glare nor overheating. This thus results in reducing the building's energy use and improving the occupants' comfort and well-being.

The Environmental Benefits

  • Blocks up to 96% of solar heat in cooling seasons, or just 60% in heating seasons, contributing to optimized energy efficiency and thermal comfort all year.
  • Lets 60% of daylight in the clear state and blocks up to 99% of daylight in the darkest state, providing optimized daylight levels without visual discomfort while keeping the views out
  • Reduces building's overall energy loads by an average of 20% and peak energy demand by up to 26%
  • All-in-one solar shading solution that lightens and simplifies the facade design and construction

The Financial Benefits

  • Reduces building's energy-related operating costs by an average of 20%.
  • Less than 4 years payback time, thanks to reduced building's energy and maintenance costs, and improved occupants' comfort and well-being.
